THE GAME OF LIFE: Extreme Reality
Casting Call Guidelines
Qualifications
To be cast for THE GAME OF LIFE: Extreme Reality edition you must be a legal resident of the fifty United States or the District of Columbia, 18 years of age or older and unaffiliated with Hasbro, its subsidiaries or affiliated companies. No more than three stories per person can be submitted.
Content
In 100 words or less an eligible applicant must describe an actual extreme event personally experienced by the applicant. Applicants must also provide their legal name, address and a valid e-mail address at the time of entry.
Submission Deadline
All stories must be submitted before 11:59 p.m. EST on October 24, 2008. Applications will only be collected on www.extremerealitygame.com.
How to Apply
1. Complete the online Application Form.
2. Read guidelines, click to confirm that the story you submitted is true and that you agree to the guidelines of the casting call.
3. Click “send”.
We may use your story in the new THE GAME OF LIFE: Extreme Reality edition game or use it for promotional purposes in broadcast or other media throughout the world in perpetuity without compensation. All submissions become the property of Hasbro and will not be returned. Due to the volume of submissions, it may take us a while to review submitted stories. We are not responsible for any loss or damage to your application and we may not consider your story if your Application Form is illegible.
Casting Selection
In order to make a good game we retain complete editorial control over all parts of the game. We will pick stories based on criteria that we will determine in our sole discretion, but the criteria will probably include originality, “extreme”-ness of experience, creativity, humor and overall presentation of entry. We don’t have to include any story in THE GAME OF LIFE: Extreme Reality edition and we can remove or replace any person’s story for any reason. We are not obligated to include or otherwise use or exploit the stories included in THE GAME OF LIFE: Extreme Reality edition, your participation therein or any part thereof. All stories will be edited to fit game cards.
Announcement and Participant Release
We plan to select up to 162 stories to include in the game. If you are cast, you must sign into a written participant release with us, providing that you will not be paid for your story to be included in the game and that you agree to certain waivers and releases. Any person cast who refuses to sign the participant release requested by us will be ineligible to have their stories included in THE GAME OF LIFE: Extreme Reality edition.
