What kind of “audition stories” are you looking for?
We’re looking for stories about extreme experiences and situations. The stories can be good, bad, unusual, bizarre, hilarious, tenderhearted, or surprising. Stories that spark our interest, make us laugh, cry, cringe or gasp are most likely to be selected.
How many stories will you cast in the new game?
We will be selecting up to 162 stories to include in the new game.
How will the stories be used in the game?
The selected stories will be used in a deck of cards that players will draw when they land on certain spaces on the game board. Each story will have a monetary or life point reward or penalty for the player.
Will my name be used in the game?
We won’t use last names in the game. Depending on your story, it may or may not be possible for persons who read your story to identify you.
Will my audition story be edited?
Your story will be edited to fit on a game card and may be edited for other reasons. Your story may also be translated into dozens of languages!
How many audition stories can I submit?
You can submit up to three stories, but each must be 100 words or less. You can submit just one story if you prefer.
What is the deadline?
The deadline for submitting audition stories is October 24, 2008.
When will I know if my audition story will be included?
Once the casting call ends, we will review the audition stories and select the stories that will be included. Those who submitted stories that we decide to use in the game will be notified in mid November 2008.
Will I win anything if my story is selected to be in the game?
There is no monetary compensation for having your story included in the game. But you will have life-long bragging rights and a new story to tell to friends, family and neighbors!
When will the game be available in stores?
The game will be available worldwide in Fall 2009.
